Advanced Super Revitalizing Cream

just got this sampl  jar today together with a few other skincare products. this is just one of the fairly new things i wanted to try out, im lately focusing on my skin and i must say at this stage in my life im now more concerned than i have ever been.. im now on my mid twenties and im scared to death about how i would look when i turned 30. i thought i must act now and do some prevention rather than paying a higher price for cure afterwards. im now starting to look into skin aging and maybe i can educate myself a bit by the use of the internet for now, as i dont see anything alarming yet to force myself to see a doctor.

its been 2 weeks now since i had started shopping for skin care products and its funny sometimes that i maybe turning myself into a guinea pig by trying out these stuff and experimenting on myself seriously.

this is just the 2nd skin product though in past 2 weeks, i must let you know. and besides its not something to be prescribed by a dermatologist and i think there's no bad effect if i use different products as long as thy're not to be used on my face all at the same time, well its just a moisturizer with a fancy name, packaging and price tag.

aside from extreme oiliness, i noticed that i have been frequently scarring from pimple marks than i usually do even if i do not touch them and let them dry and heal by themselves. i have established that my pimples are usually the results of stress and my lack of sleep-but there's nothing i can do about the factors as im a  seriously busy person and i really have alot to do on a daily basis and so ill just need to swallow the results of my work nature, sadly the effects had to appear on my face.

PRODUCT REVIEW

unfortunately the ingredients of this product are not readily available on the makers website-or did i miss it?, however i have searched further online and found the complete list of ingredients at nvwah.com beauty investigator. i am unsure of the later websites accuracy but that is my main product ingredients source, the components of this product are essential to me not just because im the consumer but simply because im curiously wow'd when i found out that the full size retail price is $95.00. i was waiting to see if there was anything ill find out in the ingredients that made it so pricey like pearl powder or gold bits (or maybe a free bag at the bottom of the tiny jar lol)
really, i should shut up now with the jokes i have in my head about the price maybe no one will take my reviews seriously.

upon opening the package i just couldn't  resist complementing on the way the packaging it came in with..its just irresistible when anything came in small ,shiny and gold plated, it just looks so expensive.
the cream itself  is heavily perfumed, it strongly resembles body butters and creams. the scent is pleasant (not fruity nor sweet) but although this is the first time i have tried this product the smell of it is not unique, im really sure i have used a body butter or lotion that has the exact same fragrance-i just couldn't tell what that exact scent is. does not really bother me since i enjoy how it smells, its just unusual for a face product to be perfumed this way maybe its an extra feature?.

applied the cream by its own on my face with nothing else immediately after shower,it stayed matte for a good 3hours which was surprising, i started to shed oil on the 4th hour .on the 5th hour my face is already shiny.against my skin, i felt that it is moisturizing and when i smile i felt that the lines on my face were less stiff compared when im not wearing anything on my face at all. i smiled on the mirror but i dint notice anything physically obvious as i don't have wrinkles yet (thank you lord)

im not an expert to determine how this product actually works on wrinkles and skin elasticity so im just responding as a regular female consumer so ill stick with my own experience and skip with the ingredients specifics.

the label says its for dry to normal skin types-not for oily skin so im aware that this isn't designed for me. im after the moisture and skin elasticity benefits it promised and im not concerned now if it wont help prevent my oiliness, as long as it will continue to delay signs of skin aging i will continue using it. however id rather apply this at night and let it work while i sleep because i don't want to shed oil during the day and especially if im going out .

as much as i would like to avoid the pricing, i need to comment on it. it feels like the price is an embarrassing situation that everybody never talks about. so far i have experienced good things about this product, but the pricing somehow made me doubt myself if its really worth buying. i believe that i will never ever buy a  single skin care product worth $95.00 at any given day, yes i said it and its a fact. i think the pricing of this made a huge difference overall. maybe if it was $9.50 i might buy it. if ur rich u may call me stupid or cheap, but ill just tell you "whatever, i ant buying girl". its to much, its overpriced as it is still basically a moisturizer and it dint have a free bag in the jar hmmm.

Viola (mauve/taupe shimmer),Twilight (Silver shimmer)& Storm (navy/gray)

  Viola (mauve/taupe shimmer),Twilight (Silver shimmer)& Storm (navy/gray)

managed to get a hold of this trio online last November and it was sold in a broken, smashed condition and was for sale with a very low price of 100.00 or roughly around $2.50. i knew how to restore broken stuff like this by either pressing them together or adding a liquid binder plus pressure.

the trio shades are Viola (mauve/taupe shimmer),Twilight (Silver shimmer)& Storm (navy/gray) which originally came out in a set years back,im a big fan of stila eyeshadows as they always have the creamiest and softest textures i have ever tried and so i was happy to see the deal on this shadow trio.out of the bunch i like storm shade the most just because i havent seen a lovely matte gray shade and it matches my dark  complexion very well and i think these three shades will never go wrong with any skin tone. viola is a lovely  dark pink shade against my skin, it sort of looks more of a pink champagne sheen on me and twilight is a very intense silver which i love to use on my tear ducts.

overall packaging  for the trio looks nice and unique and a little bit antique inspired looking, i wont take it if  ill be travelling bec. i think the shadows are very delicate and i might risk breaking them again and ill say i will much prefer square packaging over round ones (just a personal preference )i will expect these trio to last me forever because the amount of each color is really gonna be hard for me to use out and  should i still emphasize how great of a bargain i had when i purchased this eyy?

for more info on how to mend broken eyeshadows pls check this links out, i have a simple step by step guide on how to. just incase u have something broken in your stash that is worth saving :)

from the website: covergirl.com

COVERGIRL LipPerfection™ Lipcolor

Bright, gorgeous color that can transform your day and your lips. Enriched with a silk moisturizing complex, our formula helps sustain moisture levels and helps create soft, smooth, beautiful lips in just 7 days.*

MY REVIEW
the main promise is moisture and soft lips, upon receiving these lispticks from the mail the moment i have seen them altogether i was excited and i thought they were gorgeous. they came in a classic packaging with the color representation underneath, cool i can store them upside down and still know what colors they are without opening  them one by one.i had one of these lipsticks way back last year the shade was called spellbound wich i bought together with my nyx purchases from facebook.though i dint have any swatches i have a still photo of how the shade looks like. spell bound was a pink shade with sort of a bright purplish tone to it.

3 out of the 6 new shades i have was sent to me for free and the other 3 shades were purchases.

these lipsticks are fine, theye are smooth and have a unique creamy feel on my lips. the colors are great and i just need 2 swipes, its not heavily perfumed but not scentless either. the texture is similar to petroleum jelly and it feels a little warm on my lips. the moment i removed it from my lips i felt a little dry which was contrary to the super moisturizing effect i felt when i had this on my lips, very odd.i cant sort of express if i like that feeling or not. iam not going to lie its really confusing and i dont know how i will rate this product yet. i ill continue using them and see how they are going to turn out

the newest batch of shades i have currently are shades 210 bewitch,255 delish,315 precious,335 embrace,370 verve and 390 sweetheart

product first impression:

at a glance i have a huge doubt on moisturizers, as most i have tried have a very waxy, slimy, heavy feel on my skin from the moment i have added it to my face and so i have generally avoided them. however i heard once that the reason the skin becomes oily is because my skin is trying to lubricate itself and so in short it needs moisture to start with.

thats is why i have not stopped searching for the right moisturizer or skin care product, maybe its just a matter of finding the one with the correct formulation.  founder of the brand is a doctor so it seems to be something legit rather than other brands who mainly offer cosmetics. and its nice to hear that it is a product that is designed by someone in the correct field and probably knows what hes doing

this product claim only 3 things, it promises not to clog pores, hydration and it is oil free. it sounded like a jackpot for me so its worth a try.

product review

i have applied (1 pea size) this first thing in the morning after waking up after a full 6hr sleep without washing my face as an experiment,i wanted to see how good the product is even if i already have some existing natural oil on my face as the product itself never mentioned a mattifying effect and i thought if it passes my test now then the product will be better used after a freshly washed face. the first time i pumped it on the back of my hand as my fingers touched the white cream i noticed that it felt a bit waxy, similar to a silicone barrier cream (the ones i used to use to cure my grandmas bed sore years before) so i checked out the ingredients at the back immediately ( and yes it contains wax) this feeling on my fingers scared me and i thought that this product may end up as another waste of money as usual.

applying it on my face felt like it was a bit watery, cool to the touch and less waxy .and i said ohh this is new! and as i was rubbing it through out my face i felt like it had suddenly quenched my skin. it was impressive, but again well i wanted to look for something to hate about it. as a few minutes  passed by the feeling was way different from the previous moisturizers i have tried (smashbox) this product was not greasy at all which makes it the best one ive tried so far, a few hours passed and is i am typing this article its now 6 hrs after i first applied it and so far it stood up for its promise and i have not yes shed oil-my problem solved so far

rating:

i was not concerned with the spf or sun protection as i rarely go under the sun
my main concern was hydration which this product has accomplished smoothly.
i have not been irritated and my pores seemed to shrink a bit and less noticeable. it also felt light and wearing it alone like nothing at all. a little goes a long way therefore spending a high price for a fullsize bottle is more likely to be worth it. yes i will repurchase and yes i strongly recommend

cosmetics i buy, why?

Lipsticks brands vary greatly  from  texture, color, quality, packaging, trend, genre, price range and of course added benefits plus hype and popularity. Nowadays brands  create lipsticks that imo compete with (mainly) trend . Most higher end brands produce products with mostly benefits, example  to name a few are Christian Dior,Chanel, la prairie, NARS,Clarins. most expensive brands sort of target all (well most) aspects and consolidate it in one good product-which is good.  i have $50.00 i can buy a cool lipstick with super long lasting color payoff, sun protection,a moisturizer, an anti aging elixir etc... compact all in one product and  also comes with a gold plated posh expensive looking packaging which i can flash to all my girlfriends and watch them all either drool, morph into green in envy and/or watch them all fall in line borrowing my super expensive lipstick and end up abusing my hard earned $50.00 jeeezz :) or maybe not, ....maybe  ill be one day rich and famous and i wont even mind spending 50 on that little thing and even better if that im so rich and famous they'll send me those for free lol.sigh.

I do sometimes splurge on expensive stuff, and "sometimes" for me means rarely- but i do. there are some products that are so ridiculously expensive, some of them are worth it some of them are not. some ive known and have been around since i was a child and i tend to buy them just because its something that i have known and trusted like estee lauder and elizabeth arden.

other than the "i trust this brand"  reason for buying scenario, mostly its because of the hype (media, reviews and alike) that i tend to make high end brand purchases and sometime also for pampering reasons. bday gift for myself, something to get myself whenever i hit small accomplishments or like a prize whenever i feel worthy :D

well mostly its not the case for an average girl who wants to look pretty or lets say presentable at least ,but dont have the money to spend that much especially when its the same amount i normally spend on my weekly food supply. well its easy for anyone to tel me " if you cant afford to buy it then be content with your natural looks". well thats not fair i say coz everybody wants to look pretty and presentable duhhhhh.

spending money on products and choosing the brands and range actually depends on what type of a person a shopper is, its a preference  its not necessarily a status symbol but most of the time its is

if you'll ask me i always prioritize trend, then the pricing and everything else follows . im the kind of girl who likes selection too, more colors pls. i think girls in average  love trying new things too especially when there a media hype, we  girls tend to like having alternative options available such as dupes right!?. Since i categorize my self as a trend seeker, i tend to go to cheaper brands most of the time, in that way ill be able to buy more and try more. and if its a new item and it turned out to be useless for me,then i wont be having a broken heart simply because its not too expensive to start with.. i dont see anything wrong with buying cheap stuff as well as i think that there's nothing wrong with spending a months wage on one product.

cosmetics, in my view is like food (sorry to oddly compare). make up is consumable, its enjoyable, exciting, fulfilling, addictive and at one point it will perish and if a product is so good then you com back just exactly like my favorite snack (kitkat) everytime i see it i just need to get it coz i simply just cant get enough!
